The Georgia Historical Society is a nationally recognized educational and research institution dedicated to collecting, examining, preserving and teaching Georgia's history. It is respected for its scholarly authority and longstanding contributions. The challenge was to reposition how more Georgians across the state perceive and experience history. To reframe history as something living, inclusive and personally meaningful instead of distant, academic or disconnected from their own lives. To inspire individuals – from donors to educators to community leaders—to see themselves not just as observers of history, but as active participants in preserving it.
We created a story-driven video campaign centered on a simple but powerful idea: history belongs to us all. By elevating the voices of donors, board members, educators and community leaders, the campaign brought authenticity and relatability to the forefront. Personal reflections were paired with rich archival visuals and present-day moments, illustrating how the Georgia Historical Society (GHS) connects the past and present in meaningful ways.
The result was a compelling narrative that reframed history as inclusive, dynamic and deeply human – while positioning GHS as a trusted steward of Georgia’s shared story. Designed for multi-platform distribution, the campaign expanded beyond a single video to a suite of digital assets, driving awareness, engagement and action across statewide audiences.
